One Day - Two Amazing Auctions

On November 21, 2009, The Hard Rock Cafe Times Square New York will be the venue for two of Julien's Auctions most anticipated auctions of the year, beginning at 10 a.m. E.S.T. with the Steven Tyler Auction benefitting MusiCares and the Musicians Assistance Program (MAP).

For the first time, the clothing and memorabilia from Aerosmith's legendary front-man, Steven Tyler, are offered for public sale. The proceeds from this auction will benefit The MusiCares MAP fund that assists musicians in their recovery from addiction. Steven Tyler has lent his support and offered his personal items for auction, including stage and event worn clothing by renowned designers and signed memorabilia. Own a piece of Tyler's unique style down to his boxer shorts or swim trunks. Also offered for sale, a signed Paul McCartney Hofner bass and other Paul McCartney Grammy Awards? memorabilia, a U2 signed guitar, a Ron Wood signed Gibson guitar, guitars hand painted by Carly Simon, Brandon Boyd, David Lee Roth and others.

Then at 1:00 p.m. E.S.T. the Music Icons Auction begins.

Bidders and fans around the world will be watching as Michael Jackson memorabilia from his life and his career are auctioned. Items to be auctioned include the Michael Jackson glove from his 1983 performance of Billie Jean at the Motown 25 television special where he performed the Moonwalk for the first time. This glove was given by Michael Jackson to Walter "Clyde" Orange one of the founding members of the Commodores. The catalog includes photographs and a detailed description from Mr. Orange about the origins of this unique item.

Also among the rare Michael Jackson items offered for sale are: a stage-worn Maddest Hatter fedora, zombie costumes from the Thriller video, a stage-worn costume from Jackson's final United States concert in April of 2002, chocolate from Jackson's wedding to Lisa Marie Presley, record awards and Michael Jackson's 1985 Mercedes-Benz 500 SEL with photographs of the King of Pop driving the car.

The Julien's Auctions 2009 Music Icons auction also offers for sale an extensive collection of items from Rock and Roll legends. Featuring property from the Estate of Bo Diddley auctioned here for the first time, an early Madonna demo cassette, Bob Dylan Witmark demo acetates, Bob Dylan artwork, Ron Wood artwork and memorabilia from Elvis, The Beatles, Janis Joplin, Jimi Hendrix among many others.

The Collection of Barbra Streisand will include over 500 unique items from the legendary actress/singer/producer/directorís original New York apartment, her Carolwood home in Beverly Hills, and her Malibu Ranch house. The sale will also feature memorabilia including stage-worn clothing and film-worn costumes, in addition to pieces from Streisand's personal wardrobe. These items will cross the Atlantic on special exhibit onboard the Queen Mary 2 and auctioned at the historic Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills. Highlights from Streisand's decorative and fine arts collection include a Dirk Van Erp table lamp and a Arts and Crafts L&JG Stickley china cabinet, as well as some of her first antique purchases made as a young woman in New York City. Additional fine art selections include a painting by Kees van Dongen, a group of Edward Curtis photographs and a number of American school floral and genre scenes. Among the other offerings is a selection of Americana furnishings, Art Deco fixtures, Oriental rugs and Native American baskets. The auction features examples of Streisand's impeccable style and pioneering fashion, such as her pink robe from The Way We Were and ensembles from Meet The Fockers, to custom Donna Karen and designer pieces, including two vintage Christian Dior fashions. Other highlights include costumes from Funny Lady, On A Clear Day, Yentl, Nuts, Prince of Tides, and other productions and public appearances, including a stage-worn concert gown from her 1994 CONCERT tour and a gown from her 2000 TIMELESS tour. For two decades the Streisand Foundation has championed human rights and humanitarian causes worldwide.
